The Situation with Tuition
There was much discussion during last night’s senate meeting about the tuition increase.
Sen. Matt McNey brought up how tuition is going up by 3% and fees are going up by 4% and Sen. Josh Michael explained the logistics behind the tuition increase. Basically there has been a push to get our tuition increased and it’s between getting our tuition raised or having our programs cut and our quality of education decreased. The senators discussed how SGA would be there to inform students about this tuition increase and help students get in contact with their legislators about the matter.
Since matters are not finalized yet and all the facts are not known, the senators want to keep an objective view on the matter. For now SGA is not here to take sides but to empower students and keep them informed.
