Confirmations
Confirmations were the main focus of last night’s senate meeting.
First on the agenda was the Department of Public Relations. Mitch Case was the nominee for Director of Public Relations and Lindsey Barclay was the nominee for Assistant Director of Public Relations. Both wanted to help connect SGA with students and keep the relationship open and more personal.
For the Department of Environmental Affairs, Maddy Hall was the nominee for Director of Environmental Affairs and Nathan Rehr was the nominee for Assistant Director of Environmental Affairs. They explained their passion for improving recycling on campus, ecofest, and getting more student involvement in the climate change task force.
The nominee to serve as the Chair of the Election Board for the 2010 Student Government Association Elections was Corey Jennings. Jennings plans to bring a more organized view to the way the election board runs and looking into new ways to reach out to students.
The nominee to serve as the Vice President of Student Organizations for the remainder of the 2009-2010 term was Matthew Polonchak. Polonchak plans to improve event planning and organization through assigning the staff specific tasks.
